The New York Liberty on Sunday won the franchise’s first WNBA title at the sixth time of asking after defeating the Minnesota Lynx 67-62 in overtime in the Finals’ decisive Game 5. The Liberty, who fell to the Aces in four games in last year’s Finals, won their first title despite offensive struggles for stars Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu in New York, who respectively shot four for 15 and one for 19.
