HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. \- In the wake of Hurricane Milton, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with the Florida Cattlemen’s Association (FCA), Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson, and local farmers and ranchers to protect livestock and provide much-needed aid. During the storm, hundreds of cattle were stranded by floodwaters and faced food shortages. The Sheriff’s Agricultural Crimes Squad (Ag Squad) responded to numerous calls for help, and together with Brevard County deputies, rescued 121 head of cattle from rising waters.
