German chemical giant BASF plans to rely more on alternative raw materials in production, the company’s chief executive said in an interview with a German business magazine. “That can be anything, even frying fat or liquid manure, but above all it is substances such as biogas or bionaphtha,” BASF chief executive Markus Kamieth told Manager Magazin in the interview published on Tuesday.
