German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier honoured former NATO secretary general Jens Stoltenberg for his decade leading the alliance on Tuesday in Berlin. Stoltenberg, who stepped down as leader of the alliance on October 1, was awarded the Grand Cross of Germany’s Federal Order of Merit by Steinmeier. “Thank you for extraordinary leadership at the helm of NATO for 10 years.
