The Florida Silver Alert system proved its effectiveness this week when a 72-year-old man with dementia was safely located and reunited with his family after traveling over 260 miles from his home. Gary Louis Floros of Spring Hill, Florida, was the subject of a Silver Alert issued by the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office.
