It’s probably safe to say the Celtic squad who started Wednesday evening’s clash with Atalanta will be spent. It was an exhausting game of football but Brendan Rodgers’ side came out unscathed and with a point from their goalless draw in Bergamo. It was a full-blooded Champions League tie and brought with it plaudits for the club from pundits in Scotland and around Europe who applauded the defensive display.
