German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was met with tumultuous scenes during a visit to a refugee camp near Athens on Wednesday as part of an official trip to Greece, where he also faced surprise renewed demands for war reparations. Hundreds of asylum seekers greeted Steinmeier with loud shouts of “Germany, Germany” and followed him from behind a high fence as he walked through the Malakasa camp.
