After long exploratory talks, coalition negotiations to form new state governments are to open in the eastern German states of Brandenburg and Thuringia on Monday. In Potsdam, the Social Democrats (SPD) of incumbent state premier Dietmar Woidke and the Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW) want to forge a coalition for Brandenburg state.
