German voters favour an immediate election, a survey revealed on Thursday, after the collapse of the governing three-party coalition. Some 65% of those surveyed support an immediate call for elections to the Bundestag, or lower house of parliament, while 33% agreed with Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s intention to hold them in March.
