Bayern Munich were handed a fine of €150,000 ($159,050) due to the use of pyrotechnics by their fans, the sports court of the German Football Federation (DFB) ruled on Tuesday. Bayern fans lit up at least 70 firecrackers during the match against SSV Ulm in the first round of the German Cup on August 16. The German and Cup record champions can use up to €50,000 to invest in safety-related or violence prevention measures. This would have to be proven to the DFB by September 30, 2025. Bayern officials have accepted the ruling.
