A 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in the death of an 87-year-old man who was found Sunday morning in his Franklin Lakes home. David Allen Hagal, of the 500 block of Haddon Place in Franklin Lakes, is charged with first-degree murder and four weapons counts, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Sunday evening. Police were called to the same address about 7:30 a.m. for a reported death and found 87-year-old George J. Hagal. He is listed on property records as the homeowner.
