Uruguayan Jorge Fossati on Wednesday was named the new coach of Peru’s national football team. The Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) said that the 71-year-old Fossati was chosen with the goal of qualifying to the 2026 World Cup, set to be played in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
