A skating rink could return to Bishop’s Stortford town centre in 2024 after hundreds enjoyed free family fun at Christmas. East Herts Council, Bishop’s Stortford Town Council and the BID (Business Improvement District) which supports high street traders, are currently assessing the lessons to learn from December’s leisure initiative in the redundant Charringtons House car park. The authorities split the £6,800 cost of providing the synthetic rink for three days between Christmas and New Year with the help of £1,000 sponsorship from Lit Fibre.
