Bundesliga club Cologne have had heavy fines by the national federation federation DFB over their fans’ use of pyrotechnics at two games reduced by one-third to €433,000 ($474,000). The DFB said it Monday that Cologne can use €144,300 of the sum for their own security and prevention measures. Cologne were originally fined €618,000 over two incidents: €595,000 for pyrotechnics incidents at the October 22 derby against Borussia Mönchengladbach, plus €23,000 for similar incidents on September 3 at Eintracht Frankfurt.
