A footballer who suffered a horrific double-leg break during a match has thanked the community for their kindness. Ed Munton was injured while playing for Southwell City against Leicester St Andrew on Saturday, December 16. He was first given medical aid at the scene before being rushed to hospital. Jonny Upton, the manager at Southwell City said at the time that it was the worst injury he had witnessed on a football pitch.
