British vacuum cleaner maker Dyson suffered a defeat at the European Court of Justice (ECJ) after the judges on Thursday dismissed its claim for almost €176 million ($193 million) in damages. Dyson had successfully taken legal action against the European Commission over a regulation that allowed the energy efficiency of vacuum cleaners to be determined when they were empty, and not under real-life conditions.
