The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran launched a series of strikes on the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region in Iraq, according to ABC News and Reuters. Reports indicate that the strikes targeted eight locations near the U.S. consulate. Shortly thereafter, Erbil Airport ceased operations following a very intense bombardment.
