Wheat futures were mostly lower on Wednesday, though the March SRW contract was ½ a cent in the black for the close. The other SRW futures were down by 1 ½ to 3 ½ cents. KC HRW futures were 5 ½ to 7 ½ cents weaker at the close. Spring wheat ended the day with 1.5% losses of as much as 10 ½ cents. US all wheat export shipments during the week ending January 11 were shown at just 234,205 MT. That was a decline of more than half vs. the previous week and was 38.1% below the same week last year.
