The trial of seven suspects allegedly complicit in planning the 2018 terrorist attacks involving a car-jacking and supermarket hostage-taking that left four people dead in southern France began on Monday in Paris. Five of the suspects, including the perpetrator’s girlfriend, are on trial for alleged membership of a terrorist organization. The defendants face up to 30 years in prison.
