A man re-tried in the killing of his roommate, who was bound to a wheelchair, was for a second time convicted in the nearly decade-old case, Essex County authorities said Friday. Police arrested Edwin Andujar, now 59, for the 2014 death of 59-year-old Thomas Parent, after the disabled man was stabbed at least a dozen times, authorities said. Andujar was convicted and handed a 45-year prison sentence, but his conviction faced challenges in the last decade.
