A community group in Sawbridgeworth is urging residents to help protect and raise awareness of an endangered bird species. Sawbridgeworth Swifts was formed last year, and after holding a walk in the town in the summer as part of the national awareness week for the birds, residents are being asked if they would like a swift box installed on their house. The group is undertaking a joint project with North East Herts Swift Group and will be holding a swift box installation day in the spring to coincide with the return of the birds from their migration south.
