By Steve Acteson Canterbury Golf Club’s Enzo Avery has been named PGA South Region Trainee Assistant Professional-of-the-Year for the second year running. Avery, 25, was presented with the award and a £500 prize at Kingswood Golf Club in Tadworth, Surrey, by Robert Maxfield, CEO of the PGA. Now, after three years of hard graft completing a foundation degree in Professional Golf Studies, he will move on as one of only six students internationally hoping to complete a BSc honours degree and is waiting on election into full PGA membership.
