Forward Maximilian Philipp is permanently joining Freiburg from Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg after an initial loan deal, according to dpa sources. Kicker sports magazine also reported that a full transfer clause in the initial season-long loan deal from summer was triggered because Philipp has played a certain amount of matches for Freiburg.
