Uttlesford’s bin crews are back on the road after the authority was granted an interim operator’s licence, but some households have still not had a collection for more than a month. Rats have been spotted scavenging amongst mounting piles of household waste, but Uttlesford District Council has said that the backlog of black bin rubbish is almost cleared with a return to normal collection days this week for recycling waste.
