Tel Aviv/Beirut – The Israeli army said Wednesday it began an “extensive” wave of attacks on Lebanese territories after rockets fired from Lebanon hit the city of Safed in northern Israel. Lebanese security sources said at least ten Israeli airstrikes hit the Iqlim al Tuffah region near the market-town of Nabatiyeh as well as Chabaiyeh and Sawaneh. All are Hezbollah strongholds. The sources said that plumes of black smoke covered parts of Iqlim al Tuffah hill.
