There was some controversy at the end of the Singapore Grand Prix when RB called Daniel Ricciardo in for a new set of tyres to attempt the fastest lap. Race winner Lando Norris held the fastest lap at the time and was on course for a bonus point when Ricciardo pitted and beat it by four-tenths on the final lap of the race.
