Deadline day is upon us and Leeds United are set to be busy over the next 16 hours to improve the defence, and that’s exactly what PDC World Championship winner Luke Humphries wants at Leeds. Leeds have waved goodbye to a number of defenders this month, namely Luke Ayling, Djed Spence, Leo Hjelde and even Jeremiah Mullen – who went to Inverness on loan. Lew Bate and Jack Jenkins, have left. Six players have gone on loan or left permanently – and none have come in, other than Sonny Perkins who returned after a disappointing spell out on loan at Oxford United.
