A DRINK-driver failed to stop after an accident. Paul Daly appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, September 3. The 59-year-old, of Speenhamland Court, off Pelican Lane in Newbury, admitted driving a Volvo XC90 on the Old Bath Road in Newbury on Monday, June 10, after drinking more than the legal limit. Tests showed 225mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system – more than two-and-a-half times the legal limit of 80mg.
