Pensioners at risk of “significantly underestimating” the amount in savings needed to have the comfortable retirement they want, according to new research. Saltus’ latest survey of 2,000 high net worth individuals found that people are underestimating how much they need to have saved by nearly £600,000. Some 28 per cent of those with £250,000 in investible assets believed they would need less than £400,00 in their pension pot.
