Pupils had the chance to witness chickens hatch and give wings to their creativity ahead of Easter. Children at Beacon Hill Nursery, Newark, looked after the chickens and saw them hatch eight eggs. They drew and painted inspired by the newly-born chicks and also took home some artwork including life cycles and paintings of their fluffy friends. In addition to the adventure of watching the chickens hatch, hold them and get to know them. “They have all enjoyed watching the chicks hatch and making sure that they have everything they need,” said a spokesperson of Beacon Hill Nursery.
