The air ambulance landed following a crash this evening. The aircraft touched down on the A2 London-bound carriage between the A2260 in Northfleet and A227 near Pepper Hill in Gravesend. The road was completely shut at around 6.20pm due to the incident, which happened on the coast-bound side of the busy road. Police also attended the scene. It led to delays of around five miles. All lanes heading London-bound were opened just before 7pm with coastbound lanes reopening around 7.15pm.
