A Union County man who struck two police cars while trying to elude officers in 2022 was sentenced to three years in state prison earlier this month, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office announced Wednesday. Edwin Dimas-Guerrero, 22, of Plainfield, plead guilty on Nov. 30, 2023, to second-degree eluding; fourth-degree aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer; and criminal mischief, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and hindering apprehension, all third-degree crimes, according to a news release.
