A 10-year-old boy is in hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a bus. About eight police cars, a fire engine and air ambulance helicopter were called to Sandgate Esplanade near Folkestone following the incident at about 7.15pm. The youngster was taken to Kings College Hospital in London for further treatment where he remains today. Traffic was forced to turn in both directions to enable emergency crews to work.
