Vienna [Austria], September 1 (ANI/WAM): Farmers in six Asian countries have successfully increased their rice yields using nuclear-derived climate-smart agricultural practices, with the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) of the United Nations. Rice, a staple food for 60 per cent of the Asian population, is predominantly grown and consumed in the region, accounting for about 90 per cent of the global rice crop.
