Two New Jersey State Police troopers were injured early Wednesday morning after they were shot by a man with an air rifle in a Sussex County motel, investigators said. The severity of the troopers’ injuries was unknown but they were both “recovering,” New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin said in a statement.
