A caravan was significantly damaged in a crash on the A17 which created long tail backs on Good Friday. Emergency services were called to the A17 at East Bank, near Sutton Bridge, at 10.30am following a collision involving a van and a car towing the caravan. Police say no injuries were reported as a result of the crash but it did create problems for motorists. A police spokesman said: “There was also a lot of mud on the road as a result of the collision, and both lanes were affected while it was cleared.
