Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Ring is expected to be unveiled on July 10 at the Unpacked event. Although the company has revealed the design of the device, details about its health tracking features are still limited.

However, the APK version of the latest Samsung Health app from Android Authority shed some light on the Galaxy Ring’s capabilities.

Unsurprisingly, basic health tracking will be a core feature. Users will be able to track their heart rate and stress levels, and view this data directly in the Samsung Health app, which has special interfaces for data visualization.

In addition to basic tracking, Galaxy Ring will also offer more advanced health metrics. The app hints at features such as skin temperature measurement and menstrual cycle prediction.

Interestingly, the Galaxy Ring will also be able to detect snoring. However, as with the Galaxy Watch, it looks like you’ll need your phone to charge it.

The snoring tracking feature on the Galaxy Watch uses the phone’s microphone to record audio and timestamps of snoring and heavy breathing. Galaxy Ring is expected to work in a similar way.

That’s all there is to the health tracking features. So far, we know that Galaxy Ring will be available in nine different sizes, from 5 to 13, with different battery capacities depending on the size.

Rings of sizes 5-7 will have a 17 mAh battery, sizes 8-11 will have an 18.5 mAh battery, and the largest sizes, 12 and 13, will be equipped with a 22.5 mAh battery.

Speaking of sizing, a May report revealed that if you’re not sure of the perfect fit, Samsung can send you a sizing kit before you finalize your order.

This set likely includes sample rings in standard US sizes, allowing you to determine which one fits best. Once you find your ideal size, you will need to confirm it on the order page before receiving an email confirmation and shipping your Galaxy Ring.
