Drivers who use the New Jersey Turnpike and Garden State Parkway will see their tolls increase by 3% Friday morning, the third increase in three years. The new toll rates take effect at midnight, meaning commuters will pay the higher tolls for the first time during their Friday drive to work. Gov. Phil Murphy approved the authority’s $2.6 billion budget on Jan. 30 after the authority’s board of commissioners voted the same day to approve it.
