Hillary Clinton’s former campaign chief John Podesta has been tapped to become the US government’s new climate envoy. The White House announced on Wednesday that Podesta will take over the post of special envoy for climate from former senator and secretary of state John Kerry, who has been engaged in global climate policy for decades.
