Fire crews were called to reports of a chimney fire in a Suffolk village. Suffolk Fire and Rescue were alerted to Westgate Street, Long Melford, near Sudbury, just before 11am. Two crews from Clare and Haverhill were called to the scene, but the fire was out on arrival. Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to check if the fire was out. The incident was dealt with by 11.28am.
