A California company is recalling shelled walnuts that have been sold in dozens of states over E. Coli concerns. Gibson Farms recalled Organic Light Halves and Pieces shelled walnuts. The E. Coli can cause a diarrheal illness often with bloody stools. Although most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, some people can develop a form of kidney failure, especially in young children and the elderly.
