Two Newbury charities will get a cut of nearly £3,000 to provide vital cost of living support, writes Joshua Barnes. West Berks Foodbank and Newbury Soup Kitchen were awarded a share of £2,750 recently by housebuilder Taylor Wimpey. The deputy foodbank manager at West Berks Foodbank, Laura Laschi, sang the praises of Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties, saying that the charity is glad the housebuilder has “recognised the importance of the foodbank and the role we play to help those in crisis”.
