Athletes from our area took home medals at one of the first meets of the season. The Loughborough International athletics meeting took place on May 19 and welcomed teams from England, Scotland, Wales, GB and NI under 20s, Loughborough Students and the National Athletics League. The event is seen as the season opener and welcomed a number of top level performers including the current World Heptathlete champion Katrina Johnson-Thompson.
