As planned, Oppo has launched the Oppo A3 smartphone in the Chinese domestic market. This launch comes after the brand debuted the Oppo A3 Pro in April.

Oppo A3 is available in three color variants: Tranquillity Black, Aurora Purple and Mountain Stream Green. The Mountain Stream Green variant has a wavy pattern on the back that resembles grass swaying in the wind.

he phone has a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a touch sampling rate of up to 240 Hz. It has a peak brightness of 1200 nits and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i.


Oppo A3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC and Adreno 619 GPU and delivers a smooth experience. It comes with two RAM options, 8GB and 12GB, with 256GB and 512GB storage options. The storage is expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card.


The rear camera has a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels. The phone is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C audio jack, and speakers located at the bottom. It supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and multiple navigation systems. The Oppo A3 has a 5000 mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging.

Price and availability

The Oppo A3 is priced at CNY 1599 (USD 219) for the 8GB + 256GB model, CNY 1799 (USD 247) for the 12GB + 256GB model, and CNY 2099 (USD 288) for the 12GB + 512GB model. They are available for pre-order and will go on sale in China on July 5.

By the way, Oppo has also recently introduced the Reno 12F 5G smartphone in Thailand, which has a design similar to the Oppo A3 and the Dimensity 6300 chipset. This device is expected to appear in other global markets in the coming days.
