Children who are obese may be at higher risk of being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) in early adulthood, a new study suggests. The risk of being diagnosed with MS appears to be twice as high among children with obesity compared to those without, according to the Swedish study. Academics from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm analysed data from the Swedish Childhood Obesity Treatment Register.
