PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Sadly, the death toll from Hurricane Helene continues to rise in Pinellas County. As of 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st, 2024, eleven fatalities have been attributed to the storm. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has released the identities of three more victims: Dominic Dewitt, 60, of Indian Rocks Beach, was found in his residence, which had been flooded during the storm surge.Joseph Galinski, 67, of St. Pete Beach, was also found in his flooded home.Steven Boelsche, 95, of Pinellas Park, was discovered in a backyard pool.
