It is reported that the Japan Meteorological Agency has counted over 100 earthquakes ranging from magnitude 2.9 to 7.6 on the Richter scale on the island. The majority of these earthquakes occurred in the Noto city area in Ishikawa, where the strongest earthquake of the day took place this morning.
