Visiting Australians are often keen to uncover their heritage – but for one couple a trip to Sawbridgeworth had added meaning. Paul and Judy Sawbridgeworth popped into the town council offices at Sayesbury Manor on Friday and were happy to have their picture taken with town clerk Chris Hunt. “What an unusual and wonderful knock at the door for us today at the town council offices,” said Mr Hunt. “They went off with lots of goodies and we took the opportunity to take a couple of photos. They had been in France and London and return to Melbourne tomorrow.”
