German Finance Minister Christian Lindner said he remains committed to the country’s three-party coalition government, even after rough state parliamentary elections in Thuringia and Saxony on Sunday. Lindner’s pro-business liberal Free Democrats (FDP) got only around 1% of the vote and will have no seats in either state parliament. The Greens, meanwhile, only barely squeezed into the state parliament in Saxony with 5.1% of the vote and fell short of winning any seats in Thuringia with just 3.2%.
