Russian-US journalist Alsu Kurmasheva is to remain in custody in Russia after a court in the city of Kazan to the east of Moscow extended her detention order on Thursday, her employer Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) reported from Prague. RFE/RL director Stephen Capus repeated his call for Kurmasheva to be released. She has been held for more than three months and is now to be kept in prison until April 5.
